Florida starting quarterback DJ Lagway is only a sophomore, but he’s still managed to become one of the biggest players in the NIL space. With deals from the likes of Jordan Brand, Gatorade, and Beats by Dre, Lagway has already earned his fair share of national recognition. However, the sophomore’s business impact is arguably even more significant on a local level.
In addition to having a signature burger at a Gainesville food truck and a partnership with Lamborghini Orlando, Lagway donated $50,000 to UF Health in collaboration with his foundation. As the quarterback’s personal brand has grown, so have expectations for his performance this season. Lagway will lead the Gators through one of the county’s toughest schedules this season in hopes of bringing national success back to Florida.
